Is Cover Girl Clean makeup really as good for your skin as it claims?

I have ance all of a sudden, well for the past 2 years Im using proactive its working great I use to wear all different kinds of makeup including MAC then I just gave up because I figured the makeup (any kind) was making my acne worse my mom suggested Cover Girl Clean makeup. ever tried it?? just wanted to know before I buy it...Is Cover Girl Clean makeup really as good for your skin as it claims?
Yes it is stinky and cheap. Try Clinique my sister has acne and swears by it.. or Bare Minerals another friend with acne swears by it too. I think Bare Minerals is made for people with problem skin. try the website. Good LuckIs Cover Girl Clean makeup really as good for your skin as it claims?
Covergirl is great I have acne and I use proactive too, and I cant wait to stock up on the clean makeup love it try it and yes it dose EVEYTHING IT CLAIMS! Report Abuse

i used covergirl for a while and i never had a problem w/ acne or anything....

Cover Girl Clean does not help or hurt acne. The products are made to not make skin worse then it already is, but it will not help to clear up acne. The same is true with Bare Minerals, only that is slightly better than COver Girl. If you want makeup that will help Neutrogena Skin Clearing foundation is the most helpful

All of the above brands mentioned are not good. They are made with petroleum (oil! ewww...) to make them smooth and believe it or not rendered animal fat (roadkill boiled down basically). Both do not help the skin and in the long run encourage pimples to pop up. Try arbonne! They don't have that stuff and if you use it faithfully everyday you will have flawless skin soon! It's moderately expensive but a million times better for your skin!
I hate it!!!!! Don't waste your $4. I suddenly got acne at 25 and the CG Clean made it worse. It says non-comedegenic, but it clogged my pores horribly. I just discovered Almay clearing makeup for Oily Skin. It has salasylic (sp?) acid in it and I've been using for a week and my skin is really clearing up. I use the powder formula since I have super oily skin, if you have dry or combo skin try the liquid. Been using the concealer for 2 months and it is wonderful. It's more expensive than CG, pd $11.50 at Walmart, but totally worth it for a drug store brand. Even if you don't have oily skin, I strongly suggest you give it a try. Oh, and the powder formula has great coverage, I was afraid it wouldn't. Would recommend the Almay line to anyone with acne. It is really working! Good luck!!!
