We are an all girl band (not that it matters much but anyway) that play pretty much any sort of song as we have different influences except for the really heavy stuff. We have a couple of pretty amazing singers tbf, they have an amazing range. We have members that can play these instruments between us: Electric Guitar, Acoustic Guitar, Piano, Harp, Drums, Flute And The Bass. To really make a mark, why not do Rolling Stones song and songs like that. The lyrics are easy to change (their song ';Stupid Girl'; could easily be sung as ';Stupid Boy';). The are a bit misogynistic, and the turn around would be kind of sexy. There are a lot of ';anti-women'; songs that you could turn around.What Are Good Songs For An All Girl Band To Cover?
Any song previously recorded with a female lead singer qualifies, but remember you'll always be perceived like the Go Gos, since you're an all girl band. Listen to Serebro (russian girls) and a few other all girls bands for some ideas. You might be able to find a sound that everyone likes, is popular and we'll be putting your band on our IPods in a few years!
